Cheap Ol' Nebraska

Is Dec. 1st before or after their B10 Championship appearance? You know...it being Scott Frost and all and he's the next coming of Knute Rockne. He's going to need one hell of a pregame speech each week to get to the Championship game.

Maybe they should only be required to pay 1/3 of the initial greed upon amount, secondary to being weather related. If was the Hawks, we prob wouldn't want to pay the full amount either.

Last I checked, bud, Nebraska is merely a half game back in the West. Northwestern is in first with their thrilling win over Purdue. Purdue is 0-1 and I believe everyone else is 0-0. Season starts tomorrow, pal.

Face it, they didn't want to play Akron because they are scared. No ifs ands or buts about it.
They would rather pay Akron the full amount and still pay another lesser team to play, than face the option of having Akron beat them.

Seriously...Barta pays everyone. However, if it did happen at Iowa at least we'd be able to argue about whether he should or shouldn't for months.

Just so there is no confusion...

The Cornhuskers announced Thursday they have replaced Akron Zips with an Oct. 27 game against Bethune-Cookman.

So the replacement game is on Oct 27, not Dec 1.

Yeah, so?
Iowa plays PSU that week. There are 99 games I would watch that week and Debbie ain't one.

Nebraska scheduled Bethune Cookman as their replacement game. Shocking I know as we constantly hear how they are above playing FCS but nonetheless.

More shocking is they are trying not to pay Akron the 1.1 million they owe. Akron agreed to play Dec 1st. ISU payed SDSU. I hope Akron sues the $#$@ out of Nebraska. What a bush league move by them.
Do you have a source for that? I'd love to rub it in my cornholer coworkers faces.
