Charge against Iowa freshman Kyle Meyer set aside

Unfortunately due to all the OK4's of the world the UI coppers have to do this. If they find a kid passed out next to the ******* and just take him back to his room and once there he passes out again and chokes to death on his own vomit some dirtbag lawyer would sue the university for eleventy vagillion dollars.

Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. The Kyle Meyer public intoxication was neither public nor an intoxication. Discuss.

The uni cop should be disciplined. When the kid blew .07, the cop should have apologized and took the kid back to his dorm. The UI aggressively teaches harm reduction. This kid drank with moderation and got himself safely back to the dorm building. The fact that they booked him at all is total BS.

SRS?

If you have a kid laying on teh bathroom floor on a Friday night, it is because he got hammered and passed out. n00b Freshman probably hit teh bars at 5:00 and didn't know how to rally for the evening shift.

Drank with moderation? I'm starting to think that Posting intox should be a criminal offense in these here forums. It's as bad as anything I have ever done.

Still don't get being "arrested" for public intox in a "private" place when you are below the legal limit(?) Just another example of the further "NAZI -a-nation" of our country and we all just stand by and comment on a message board.

Remember kids, when you don't understand how the law works, it means Nazis.

last i checked meyer is below the legal drinking age so those that say he didnt even blow high at .07 are ignorant as he legally isnt supposed to drink. and 20 hrs of community service is actually a very low amount. he got a slap on the wrist for this. hopefully he learns to not be stupid enough to do this again.

when i was under age the punishment for drinking was a 34.50 dollar fine. I'm glad I never learned from my mistake after the 1st time I got caught cause I had a lot of fun drinking between the age of 18 and 21

Not only that I just heard that Kyle was the only underage student drinking that evening....

That does make it worse and the Nazis within their rights......

:)

in iowa, under the age of 21 you're legally allowed to have under a .02 and operate a vehicle lol.
