Cezar Mixtape

The hotdogging is my only concern with this kid. I'm okay with confidence, in fact I'd covet that, especially from a point guard. Just some of the stuff he does gets on my nerves a little bit. But all in all a very talented player, and if he's willing to tone it down, I'd be glad to have him.

He does hot dog a little bit, and some of the reason is because he can get away with it in high school. But it will only take one time of him doing it in college before he realizes he can't get away with it anymore and hopefully is smart enough to not do it again. Otherwise, he'll be sitting at the end of the bench, even past the managers and trainers.

I believe Deano was listed at 5'11", which probably means he was about 5'9". You ever see him up close in person? No way he was taller than 5'9" or 5'10". Cezar looks about the same as Dean. 5'11" or 6 foot on paper, which translates to about 5'9" in real life. Anyway, who cares? Anything under 6 feet for super quick point guards is all sort of the same. Unless your Little Lick, but then see my super quick qualifier.

Dean is a legit 5'11". I played with him and against him for several years.

This kid looks like Talor Battle. I'd take that in a second on this team

I grew up a couple towns away, we used to go watch Deano play in Mason City when I was in school. Yes, I've seen him close in person. On and off the court. I would say Dean is very close to 6 foot. Again, closer to 6 foot than 5'8" for sure.

Talor Battle was the exact person that came to mind for me as well. I guess I'd take someone like that to run the point for the Hawks:)

I think Fran would "manage" him just fine. I like a little edge.

I met Dean once and looked him eye to eye. I'm just a hair over 5' 10".

That video didn't show me a whole lot other than some backward passing and him making a jumper; which I suppose you can see on any highlight film on a player from the CIML. The thing I noticed is that he does not get off the ground very high, which could be a problem in the Big Ten. Just ask Gatens; however his quickness might negate that somewhat.

I guess if Kansas is interested them he probably has some legit skills.

Haha, you serious Clark? Better alert Fran that tm would only be glad to have Cezar IF he tones it down.

In all seriousness though, I dont think Fran would want him to tone it down. Thats the kind of player he is, take it or leave it. We are not in a position to leave a talent like this because of some hot dog/showboating issues.

Sorry, I can't link Youtube at work, but google his name and watch some of the other videos, there's a bunch. He can beat his man off the bounce and finish at the rim very well. Not sure if he can dunk, but he seems to finish over players that are much bigger than him. Has enough hang time to change ball position in the air to keep from getting blocked. Also has good/excellent ability to change speeds and has a very quick spin move. Looking at PGs, changing speed seems as or more important than changing direction. Get a guy slowing down then blowing past him with a quick first step is vital to getting into the lane.

His game isn't perfect, but I don't think he'd have a problem getting his shot off or getting into the lane.

I think Fran would prefer getting a hot dog and coaching the stupid out of him, then getting a timid player and trying to coach aggression into him.

I don't see him dunking. However, there are plenty of strong guards who don't dunk. The biggest problem is that he does not seem to be able to finish with his left. A short player has to be able to do that, because if he goes to his left and has to switch the ball to the basket side to score, he will be swatted.

Who cares if your point guard can't dunk. He does need to work on his left hand though...no doubt.

When will people realize that it doesn't matter if C G is 6 foot or 5 and 6 plus inches?

It's about the quicks, the handles and the vision.

It's about the heart and desire and strength.

Please people it's not how tall any point guard is.
