Cedar Rapids officially docked points

On the top Hawkeye supporting cities list.

Recent recruits:

Arrington - Michigan
Bohannon - Wiscy
K. Davis - Iowa
Uthoff - Wiscy
French - ?
Paige - ?

CR has not been good to the Hawks lately, but maybe Keenan Davis can make up for the others?

I didn't include Dawson and/or Oglesby since they weren't offered.

Sure seems like French goes in the negative column. But of course he might just be pulling a Derby.

Guess the billboard really worked. (Read sarcasm)

there must be something in the air up there... something in those ralston-purina/quaker oats fumes...

Fully aware that Bohannon is from Marion. Marion is part of CR in my book. Heck, I consider Linn-Mar a part of CR, and that is northern Marion.

Paige will be added to this list next year.

I don't feel good about French or Paige, so I feel this list is only going to get worse.

Marion not even close to being part of CR, Marion wouldn't sink so low

Don't forget

Also on the roster (football, that is):

Drew Clark (OL) from Marion
Wyatt Suess (QB) CR Washington

Great. So we get their walk-ons and their legit D-1 scholly players leave state.

I say stop even recruiting that cesspool. Read sarcasm again.

Makes a little sense. Not close enough to have grown up in the midst of the magic that is IC. They just know crap Iowa. I would probably want to leave if all I knew of Iowa was Cedar Crapids as well. Don't read sarcasm.

Your forgetting an essential piece of the Outback Bowl team a couple years back, Rob Bruggeman. Also didnt mention Andre Dawson choosing UNI over Iowa.

Sometimes guys at age 18 are ready to get away from home for a while.... although it sucks as a Hawk fan, I can understand it.

Andre Dawson - Yahoo! Sports
Iowa did, ISU did not. From what I read a while back though, if ISU had offered he would have comitted to them. I'm still curious as to why he chose UNI, he had a bunch of BCS offers.

Didn't the Hawks offer and then both sides really cooled on each other. Didn't seem like the Hawks lost him to UNI, but the two sides decided that the best for both would be Andre not going to Iowa. That seems to be what I remember.
