I really wanted to go this year, but won't be able to make it (wife is preggers and fears Zika virus). I went to the Battle 4 Atlantis and had a hell of a time. If Iowa ever goes there again I would very highly recommend it.

As far as Iowa packages...for the Bahamas there was a chartered package through a 3rd party where you were on the same flight as the team was. I didn't do that, I just booked it all on my own, but I met a lot of people who did that and enjoyed it.

If you're a big fan of college basketball, I'd highly recommend these preseason trips. The Atlantis was a huge self-contained resort, so it was a crazy experience. We ran into Fran randomly a couple different times, ran into Jok and Devyn walking around outside one night, talked to Gabe Oleseni for a bit, met Adam Woodbury's parents, met Josh Oglesby's family, met Roy Marble's brother, even talked to Cuonzo Martin for about 15 minutes at a lounge late one night. I also saw the USC basketball team playing $15 craps at one of the tables which I found rather interesting. $15 craps is an expensive game.

Plus the gymnasiums are usually small and intimate so you're right next to all the action.

I've always wanted to go to these, but they are typically anchored around Thanksgiving and it always seems like the flights are jacked up because it's a holiday.

At least it's not near Guam.

Yeah they really are. I get flight rewards so its not an issue for me but I completely understand. I'm really waiting for Iowa to go to the Maui invitational....or back to Atlantis.

I hope you have a healthy beautiful baby.

You have a weird hate for one of the US's most scenic state. I would also pick Florida first for a state to lose.

You have a state where most living there put themselves on a pedestal over everyone else, yet their state is in the most financial mess of any other and damn near bankrupt. I presume the federal government will have to bail them out at some point. So for a bunch of goody tooshoos who have to live 10 to an apartment to afford to live there along with paying $6 gallon of milk, they sure aren't shy telling you how much better they got it then you.

Yes it is beautiful. Makes you wonder how a state government with all the tourist money can so mismanage the state to where it is now financially. They live in the moment and don't really have a clue of the value of a dollar or the concept of budgeting.

Off my soap box!! lol.
