Can someone please explain to me why behind the basket opposite of the student section there is empty space and the stands don't end right behind the hoop? Is that space for fans with special needs or something?

evidently not, but I would like for someone to answer my question if they know. My mom works with some special needs kids that would like to go to a game and I can't find any information online.
 
The sections to the right of the tunnel (EE, FF, GG, HH, II, JJ) all start at row 5. Handicap seating is available directly behind the basket. You would have to call the University at 1-800-IA-HAWKS and ask about those seats as I've never seen those available on their website.

If she's calls the ticket office and asks for Donna, she will help out your mom with everything she needs.

Refreshing to see someone answer a genuine question with a sincere answer...thank you! I can tell you the area behind the basket is setup for fans that may be in a wheelchair along with a few long-standing season ticket holders that have been following the Hawks for years. I have visited with many of them in between shooting photos and I will say that while you may not see many of them standing you can rest assure they are doing their best to give the refs an earful and have a genuine love of the game. In fact I talked with a couple tonight that drove 2hrs one-way just to cheer on the Hawks so I for one have nothing but respect for them.
 
Does anybody know how many rows of seats are in Carver? What number is the top row?

I have tickets to the game against the Goofs and wanted to know how high up they are.

I didnt want to start a different thread and figured some people in here might know the answer.

A football season ticket holder does not know how many rows there are in Carver?

I am a saison ticket holder in football and I dont believe you are, therefore I am a bigger Hawk fan than you.
