Canzeri's Dad

This.

It really is comical (and sad) the number of grown adults that don't know right from wrong when it comes to something like this. Nothing good comes of it and the dad looking like a moron.

I thought helicopter dads were just for little league, now it's high school AND College???

Unreal.

"Selfish Conservatism"

"Getting strung along is BS. Better redshirt".

There you go Duff.

Were I in his shoes, I would want them to redshirt my kid at this point. That said, I wouldn't take to twitter with it.

I don't understand what is so confusing about this.

"Jordan - you tore your ACL and we're not in a rush to bring you back, but if Weisman and Bullock both can't play you're next in line to Garmon."

Um pretty sure the definition of being selfish is for you to insist on blowing a year of eligibility for 5 games.

I'm with whoever said that the guys only game to date, he averaged 2 YPC. I have no idea what the love affair is with this guy. He may end up great, and it's not fair to judge a guy off ofone game, but that one game didn't make me believe that we were sitting on the next Barry Sanders.

Agreed, and if he came back and tore the ACL in that first game back, it would be the staffs fault because they rushed him back.

AHH! TOO MANY RUNNING BACKS!!

If there was ever a sign that the world is ending is that the above statement was just said about Iowa.

Yeah, the number of schools that will jump on a kid with a torn ACL, a career of less than 50 carries and maybe 4ypc is going to be mind-boggling.

Sheesh, the coaches want to placate the kid by letting him work and practice with the team. The kid, commendably, has worked like hell to get back on the field. But, when we have "healthy" people that can carry the load, it's idiotic NOT to redshirt the kid and ensure he doesn't blow another season--or career--by pushing unnecessarily.

Dad had 1 too many Coors Lights and started thinking too much. The 1 thing I think KF has done right this year is not to play this kid. Never heard of anyone coming back from an ACL so quick. JC is getting a good deal, he gets to dress and travel for all the games. Most redshirts do not get that perk. This guy is for emergency purposes only and that is how it should be.

The twitter account has since been locked. What an unfortunate lesson learned: Keep your thoughts private, unless it's on an anonymous message board like Hawkeynation.com (hopefully Jon doesn't install that Facebook software anytime soon though or else we're f_____.)

The Nico Law people would like a word with you.

Too small to read, but it sounds like his dad would like him to play. I'm sure he's watched Garmon in his few carries this year and is thinking his son could do better. He's crazy if he thinks his son should play in front of a healthy Weisman though. I tried doing a search on Twitter and came up with a page that said the account no longer exists. Anyone want to type out what he said?

Edit: Looks like someone did. Thanks.

It almost sounds like some of you are BOOING Canzeri's dad. You wouldn't actually BOO the father of an Iowa player, would you?
Silly Boo-Birds!

To be fair, though, he's not demanding that Jordan play. All he's calling for is a decision: Is he going to play, or isn't he? For a kid in Jordan's position, I don't think that's necessarily an unfair question.

"All" he's calling for? Uh, he said, "Time to start looking". Seantrel's Dad couldn't do it any better than that.

He's ****** because he feels his kid is being strung along. He also said "better redshirt". He's not demanding that Jordan see the field. He's demanding that Jordan either see the field or get redshirted, instead of dangling a piece of meet in front of him for the next month.
