I have never ever gotten the impression from Kirk that all he cares about is the money he is making. Some of you may be joking and others are just ******. Personally if someone was to judge my character like you are his I would be ****** and sad to call myself an Iowan. Grow up people.

I am very critical of Ferentz and his coaching at times but to call him out on his character when I haven't seen any reason to, is sad.
 
Its not his fault the Iowa AD is a complete ******* idiot. Whats KF suppose to do? Say no, I dont want 4 mill per for the next 10 years?

Then some of you have short memories. KF along with his agent played Iowa like a fiddle starting after the 2002 season.

Sure I bet he loves coaching, he has been doing it a very long time but don't tell me he doesn't care about money.

You must have a short memory too because I didn't say he didn't care about money. :)

Like 99.9% of humans, Kirk cares a great deal about money, among many other things. It's not all he cares about and I don't think he checked out mentally after signing a big contract. That said, accumulating such a huge amount of guaranteed wealth (and a great deal of prior success) may have dulled his edge a bit. Like it would most people.
 
Iowa did not throw this money at Kirk, he let his agent rake them over the coals after the good years. It's like he knows he's headed for 3 bad years with the cycle of extensions

Kirk is smart, he let the NFL rumors work for him to the tune of millions of dollars.
 
The general theme of discontent is that - he isn't worth the money... not as much that he is laughing to the bank.

The criticism around money is that we paid for premiere coach and got an average one and now we are stuck with him because we are hostage to his ridiculous contract.
 
Don't know about you, but I don't like paying our over rated coach 3.5 million a year to suck like this. He needs to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you want to keep him if he was only making $50,000? Or would you want to fire him and go out and get a big name for, say, $3.5 mill? It's about the wins, babe.
