Can someone explain to me how NW is even on the bubble?

I can't explain it.

The only reason is their SOS and playing in the B10.
But they are not an NCAA caliber team.

And, yes, it sucks Iowa lost to them twice.

They are soft and will get run out of the building if they make their first ever Dance.

Boy do I agree with this. That is absolutely NOT an NCAA tournament team. Yes, the Big 10 is a good conference, but they finished 8-10, the same as Iowa. They have had numerous opportunities to play themselves in and they failed every single test.

NW is a tough team to prepare for (see our two losses). Teams that get sloppy with the ball will turn it over and NW has shooters and ball movement that will humble lazy defenses. If they make the dance, I don't see them as a threat to make a deep run, but with hot shooting and favorable matchups, they could win two games.

I thought Iowa prepared well, but its tough to replicate NW's zone in practice w/ the length they have.

Iowa had the gameplan right, just couldn't execute. Yes, I am summoning Ferentz there, but it's true.

They have to take 68 teams. For all you people saying N'Western isn't an NCAA tournament team, who is going to take there place? Texas, Miami, Drexel, Tennessee, Seton Hall? It's like some people don't realize they need to fill all 68 spots regardless of how poor some of the last at large teams' resumes are.

Give the really good mid-major teams a shot to compete...wasn't VCU one of the last four in teams last year?

I am 100% on the side of the mid-major teams that have an RPI under 50 much, much more than Power Six bubble teams...all they Power Six teams have proven is they may be able to upset one, maybe two good teams at home and get obliterated on the road.
