A lot of those went to UNI and ISU, although UNI has a very good program, I wouldn't count them and Illinois State as d-1 powers. :D

Your math was slightly off.

No it wasn't bro. I don't mean to overreact, but I really wish you weren't being 'that guy' right now. I said there have been a few kids from Lincoln, as in 2 (3 now if Young signs). Since guys like Tommy Gaul are completely unheard of, I assumed I didn't have to name the two star players from Lincoln.

I played in that league and against both of them in HS

My point is that listing kids from Dowling, Valley etc, requires some specificity, because they weren't all superstars like Robinson and Bernstein. Tommy Gaul as an example. The only guys Lincoln has sent to Iowa recently have been very much household names among Iowa fans.

How many of those are full scholly? I don't want WO or academic scholly. Can UNI offer partial scholly or full only for FB?

This was just a quick check and I didn’t line it out by school and I realize there are several schools in CR and Cedar falls, but here is a rundown of the “rostered” kids on the 3 state schools from those areas including IC, Solon and Mt Pleasant.

Cedar Rapids….10

Cedar Falls….7

Solon…4

IC…5

Mt Pleasant…3

Now I started to iron it out by High School but then I started looking and some didn’t list the high school and it seems like this original thought was constructed with at least 2 West Des Moines schools so it seemed unnecessary. I included Solon & Mt P to show; some smaller schools are really producing quite a few D1 kids too so this thought is convoluted a at best.

Finally this obviously includes Walk-ons and it’s hard to include UNI, but I will admit they have almost as many NFL players as Iowa St so maybe it is meaningful to include them…who knows?!?!

Life is just gonna kick the sh!t out of you son. You're not old enough to realize how feckless and weak you are. Not just physically, but mentally. You need to get humiliated in public in the worst way. Your hubris is off the charts and your humility is non-existent. You keep screwing with me and that benign tumor in your brain that isn't set to turn malignant till 2034 is gonna give you a stroke sooner rather than later.

dude, chill out. sounds like you're the one who's going to have a stroke.

Framing the argument a different way, how many kids from the Des Moines area have even been recruited by Iowa in recent years - not many. This year was a good year in the city with the 3 offers. Iowa generally offers more kids from Eastern Iowa. I do hope this is changing with more prospects being developed in central Iowa.

Last year only Darboh from the Des Moines area was offered, (unless you count Simmons from Madrid who was at JC in Council Bluffs.) Iowa actually offered more kids from small towns in Western Iowa with Bevins going to ISU and Meier to Iowa. It wasn't a great year in Eastern Iowa either with Hill from Cedar Falls being the lone offer there as well.
Two years ago there were no central Iowa offers with 3 Eastern Iowa offers in Blythe, Kreiger-Coble and French.

Apparently life has already kicked the sh!t out of you if you're talking like that. Step away from the ledge there Mr. Overreact.

I first read something on CyFan that Campos has been attending some camps up in Ames since his commitment to Mizzou. I figured it was just the clownies making crap up but now some recruiting insiders on the pay boards confirmed the same thing and it looks like Campos is seriously considering ISU. Also I have read that Campos never really considered Iowa.
Campos is going to Missouri because of a girl. He attended ISUs camp so his 8 th grade brother could go( suppose to be 9th grade +).
