Cade Knee injury

Were you feeling that way before he started taking visits to Oregon and Bama?... Cause sure after he did that he was rubbing everyone wrong. But had he still ended up at Iowa we'd have swept that under the rug so fast. He's literally the one missing piece for this offensive line. Besides center anyway Jones has a lot of improving to do so we'll see about that too

I don't want to talk about it.

He still seems to have a RS FS ahead of him on the two deeps unless Sabin is full of chit. I hope Proctor's enjoying himself in Tuscaloosa, because he'd be starting at Iowa.

I get the snark, but when he is holding up a Natty beside a living legend coach in a few years, I doubt he will have too many regrets. He had two great choices to prepare him for making a professional living off of playing football. Hard to blame a kid for choosing the best program, even if we hate how it went down.

Are you saying he will transfer to Iowa soon? Will they take him back?

Not to mention NIL... I know he played that down publicly but come on. He got a chunk of change to go there and Bama takes care of their guys I would think. One can't say he made the wrong decision going there. It's just how he did it that rubbed everyone the wrong way like you said.

I wonder if going forward they may set a different cut off time for when players can take official visits. He waited till the last couple weeks to go about that. If say a month earlier they cut that off and he couldn't have made those would that have made a difference? Who's to say I suppose. I heard an interview with Tyler Barnes with Kakert and he'd like to see the recruiting calendar get overhauled. But he said the decision makers with that rarely take any input for the folks that do it.

The TIMING................the TIMING!

That's my agnst, Literally pretty much the day before. I don't have a problem that he spurred Iowa, but it was right at signing time. Do I blame him for running after the NIL, I guess not.

It is funny that the same thing coaches bitch about in regards to how the recruiting and visiting rules are set also take advantage of them. Guys like Saban don't give one shit about reaching out to and continuing to try and recruit a kid that's committed somewhere else. But man when Auburn LSU or TN does it back to them Saban will scream about morals and get on his soap box. With NIL in the mix of it all for many it's a flat out bidding war.

Kids with shrewd folks (turned out Proctors fall into this category) will play the game. Take the safe bird in the hand spot to commit to while keeping the communication channels and options open. I don't hardly blame em. Everyone uses everyone so that part of it is what it is too. I'm just not sure what the perfect combination of rule changes could fix any of it. NIL is what it is and so is the portal. I don't see em closing that either.

Yea, and If I remember correctly, the NIL really started to ramp up right about the time he switched.

Then there's this miss....

Not enough homegrown Iowa talent to let the best in-state OL go elsewhere.

Yeah that's gonna hurt... Iowa has mopped up instate besides missing on him though. But my gosh had they landed both him and Proctor... That cumulative effect just hurts man. They aren't making up for it there isn't hardly a way to.
