Burke Declares

RT @Benjib10: Trey Burke has not declared for the NBA draft. He is still enrolled at the University of Michigan.
Not so fast.

This is big!! I hope its true. The BIG is looking better and better for the Hawks!!

If this is true, it is great news for the Hawks. Unlike last year when Morris decided to leave early, there is no Burke waiting to fill that spot this year.

I don't like the idea of Iowa rising up because everyone else is falling down...I hope Burke stays...it's not like Iowa had no shot at beating them with him there anyway...they've proven they can.

teams go up team go down , if Iowa benefits from others going down so be it. besides let others play catchup.
then you have to realize as of now there will not be a shortage of talent in the BT, there will be a shuffling in the standing but nobody will make major moves. i see a 2 -3 place swing between team s but nothing like a 5-6 place swing.
its like i saw a post calling for Minnesota jumping up to 1st in the BT with the return of Mbakwe. so expectation are mixed

I have to wonder if he is just testing the waters,to get a read on his status in the draft. Until he signs with an agent, I think he will be back. It is a weak draft for pgs,but unless he is a sure 1st rounder, he might withdraw.

Actually,I hope he returns. We only play Michigan once, and probably lose up in Ann Arbor with or without him. But the teams we will probably battle for 5th-7th, play Michigan twice, and with Burke, Michigan likely beats some of them twice, helping us.
Our race is within our tier of Wisky, PU,ILL.NW,Minny...and the schedule is a big edge,if the top teams we only play once do sweep these other teams in our tier.

I don't really want to move up simply because other teams get worse. We could not improve at all, and move up if some of the teams in front of us got worse. That's not progress.

If we didn't improve, but won 2 more big10 games and another conference tourney game and made the NCAA, I wouldn't care if it was because other teams got worse, or we got better. Especially considering we will lose basically nothing from next years team the following year, and making the NCAA is always the goal.

Obviously, I'd take that. But I'm still not sold on the Dance for next year, to be honest. I don't see us making it without actually getting better. The conference won't be as good next year, and it's going to take better than 10-8 to get in, IMO.

Trey Burke expected to leave Michigan for NBA - CBSSports

wow... could have been a possible contender with him back.
So what your subject line should really read is "Burke SET to declare" or something similar, since he didn't declase anything according to your source, as of yet.

Excuse me for being a stickler, but people always complain about media outlet websites and newspapers as being misleading with their headlines, yet your is completely false at the time you put it out there. I am not trying to pick on you specifically. Everyone on this board does it, but it is just really annoying to me.

Michigan and Indiana aren't only going to be clear favorites to win Big Ten but also national title contenders. Michigan and Indiana will be LOADED! I know Iowa beat both this season but don't see Iowa getting so lucky next year. Iowa upgraded talent but this proves they have a LONG way to go before they are at Michigan and Indiana's level.

I have IU and Michigan both in my top 4.
This is a huge deal for Michigan retaining Burke. They had no pg to replace him.
The Big Ten will be very tough next year, again.
I think the league will get 7-8 NCAA bids next year.

Is this the same Michigan that Iowa beat by double digits and who lost in the 1st round of the NCAAs to Ohio?

Bring 'em on!
