Bullock ?

Why didn't they make him a slot possession receiver like two yes ago? He is not an effective RB. Doesn't see the field well.

You're right. He's not a running back. Why are they not playing him in a manor that would enable him to use his strengths? I guess only Ferentz could tell you that.

Probably the same reason that we have weapons like Willies and Powell and don't try to get them the ball. Also the same reason that Daniels and Canzeri don't get opportunities. Well, I guess I should change that to not many opportunities since Canzeri got 3 carries early..had a couple nice runs for 6 yards per carry and never got another touch.

This isn't a situation where we just don't have any talent, we've got some players but these personnel decisions just make no sense.

said this since last year and often got hammered for it. People are now seeing the truth. However Bullock and his lack of vision are way down the list if Iowa's problems right now

Why is so important to play him at all? He is not even close to one of our best backs that we have but he is a KF favorite so he continues to play just like several others.

I see these comments about making him a slot receiver also. Really so he can take away snaps from Willies, Smith, Powell and Manley. Ok! Wait I forget KF declines to play anyone with talent so maybe it does make sense for him to be a slot receiver.

I mean with him I think we could have had a chance at a Wes welker kind of player. On the small side but quick and could help by exploiting matchups and he could find holes in the d to sit in.

Bullock is not a RB, tries to bounce everything outside, and we are best North and South, does not see the field well at all!!!! But he is getting a lot of carries? Canzeri gets 3 carries and averaged 6.1 a carry, should be just him and Mark running the ball.

Jon had it right in his podcast, Daniels and Canzeri should be the 2 running backs we are playing......so of course we trot out Weisman for 16 carries, 50 yds for 3.1 YPC and Bullock for 12 carries 22 Yds for 1.8 YPC.

Canzeri gets one freaking series and 3 carries and rips off a 9 yd, 5, yd and 4 yd run. Of course since he is the only effective runner we had, we need to then sit him on the bench to not see the freaking field again.

I think most on here know that I'm not a get on the coaches guy, but that has changed. Saturdays game was the most inept game planned, and called game I have ever seen, and that includes a lot of terrible coached HS games I've been to.

Bullock being a Wes Welker in the slot? Please! He should never see the field end of story. He would not play at UNI.

Kurt is trying to out-strategerize other teams by NOT using the talented players but instead getting the ball to the less talented guys. See, the opposing coaches just assume that a team will exploit its own talents and strengths. That's considered common sense.

Kurt sees past this tired conventional thinking. You just don't understand Kurt's genius. If you can't see it by now I can't help you.

He doesn't as a matter of fact none of them do. That cutback is there almost every time and the RBs continue to run head long into slanting linemen.

Priceless but unfortunately accurate.

I thought they made him a RB out of necessity because of injuries/defections. The NIU game a couple of years ago he was actually pretty good since then it has been pretty much dog poo.

Not sure why he isn't more involved in the passing game. The wheel route was a staple in the GD offense at Texas, here it is a gimmick pulled out once or twice a year. Maybe they have been trying it and it is just not there, JR not seeing it.

Or their head is down running right into Scherff's keester.

Was Daniels hurt, or was he being benched because of his missed block last week? Miss a block or fumble - the bench is your friend. Too bad it doesn't apply to poorly thrown balls that become interceptions.
