Bubble

the original poster is referring to being on the bubble of winning the B1G, right? Because I agree with him there. Iowa's right on the bubble. Any losses and pop.

Hey guys. We won.

Thank God. I honestly didn't think our guys could pull it out when the team went down 5... Illinois had just had SO much momentum for such a long stretch. Just wasn't sure they could recover. Can't count our guys out, though, as they showed tonight.

Nice to end that losing streak in Champaign. Now we have some unfinished business to take care of in East Lansing...

We win in East Lansing too we're going to the Final Four. Snapping those streaks pretty much means were a team of destiny.

Same here, mentally iI was putting the game in the loss column.

I'm the biggest Iowa fan you will meet..I've seen many games go the way this one was going towards the end..forgive me for starting this thread. I honestly was 99% sure we were going to lose with 5 minutes left. If we would've lost, I would've felt very insecure about the rest of the season. If we couldn't beat Illinois on the road..how would we beat Penn State, Indiana or Minnesota on the road?? This win was big for multiple reasons

I agree. It was huge. Keep the faith.

You guys are hilarious. It was a heat of the game moment post at it's ultimate low point. I was wrong thank god..but had we lost quit acting like you would all be sitting here posting crap like it's ok, I'm not worried. 16-6 and 5-4 in the conference would be ok..but losing to OSU and Michigan..16-8 and 5-6 is what could have been. That's called working your way towards the bubble..it was almost a possibility.

But I'm an idiot

if we would have lost this game... yes we would have been working towards the bubble. Thank god we didn't though

Serious question.... Give me an example of a team that was ranked in the top 15 halfway through the season and ended up on the bubble??

That's a long way to fall and 2 losses including one on the road and one to a top 10 team doesn't put you on the bubble.

That's my point... Your wrong even if we would have lost which you prematurely assumed.

OP should consider editing the original post with a rick roll, or some other internet phenomenon.

I think Minnesota and Illinois last year were ranked pretty high in January and found themselves on the bubble by March. I think it happens to a team or two every year. Some teams collapse, but this one isn't going to.

For 1 night, i agree. Gesell played very well the last 4 minutes of the game. He was a factor both offensively and defensively , and if we are going to go anywhere he will need to be a factor. Overall a very good win, considering the blown lead. any win on the road is good obviously.

No one here cares if you agree. The endorsement of a troll has no meaning to Iowa fans. Next time you probably should wait until Iowa loses before trolling...don't expect many chances this year.
