Bubble

Well your post before this said "assuming Iowa gets out of the first round". Only way Iowa plays in the first round is by being one of the last at large teams in the tourney.

I'm talking about the REAL first round. Not the play in games. I also said 8 seed.. They don't put 8 seeds in the play in round.

No bad losses, but no good wins is a recipe for an #8 seed if I've ever seen it. Mr. Davis made his living in that territory more often than not between 1993 and 1999. So anyone watching Hawkeye basketball during that time knows what an #8 seed looks like. And if we can't get our crap together and beat either Michigan at home or MSU on the road, this will be a team that ends up somewhere between #6 and #9 and heads home after the 2nd round.

Wait....we waited 15 years to be right back where we started from? Neat!

OSU is ranked in one of the polls and will be ranked in both come Monday.

And, they were ranked when we beat them...RPI is what we need to watch though. If they (or we) lost some stinkers, we're at the mercy of our previous opponents' records...not a good place to be considering our crappy non-con schedule.

There is no 1 seed that wants to see Iowa in "their" 2nd round. Guaranteed. Of course we will be seeded higher so it's a moot point.

And Iowa's days of being ranked are over after a 3rd home loss, probably in the 20 point range, on Saturday.
Soft team with a coach who is glassy eyed not knowing what to do.

This one is for the pessimists and trolls in the crowd.

Michigan - W (haven't lost back to back all season)
@ Penn State - W (have a week to prepare PSU plays @ IN 3 days before this game)
@ Indiana - L (don't think so but the pessimists and trolls will demand it)
Wisconsin - W (been handling middle of the pack teams)
@ Minnesota - W (split this and Indiana...take your choice)
Purdue - W (no explanation needed)
@ Michigan State - L (too good)
Illinois - W (Senior Night)

That's 23-8 and 12-6 and nowhere near the bubble. We'll finish better than this but again this is for the pessimists and trolls.

Now we're into the rarefied air of idiocy...having blown straight past stupidity...

We haven't lost back to back all season. Every poor effort has been followed by a big effort. We should win Saturday. Our biggest loss of the season was by 8 at Michigan...but we lose at home by 20. You're absolutely clueless...one of the worst posts of the year.

If we lose every remaining game would we be in the tournament? Clearly not, so in that respect we are a bubble team. We are not a lock right now to get (like say Syracuse would be even if they lost every game from here) but still have a chance to get in, that's a bubble team. It is foolish to say we will win x amount of games and will be in, until we win those games you can't assume we will.

Look I agree we're not on the bubble but you've changed from your original 8 wins in a row prediction.
