SIAP. From article:

The question is whether the league can get that elusive eighth team -- more specifically: Iowa -- in under the wire. The Hawkeyes' 72-51 win over Minnesota Sunday definitely helped their previously flagging RPI, but it's still up there in the high 70s (thanks to the 323rd-ranked nonconference schedule). Iowa's remaining regular season schedule is as follows: at Nebraska, versus Purdue, at Indiana, versus Illinois, versus Nebraska. Is 4-1 good enough to get in the picture? It's one of the most frequent questions I receive, and the answer is ... I don't know. But we'll find out soon enough.

With the way Minnesota is playing lately they may not make it, despite their currently high RPI rating. They're 6-8 right now in conference play with home games against Indiana and Penn State, then finishing the season with road games at Nebraska and Purdue. It's not inconceivable that they go 1-3 in that stretch and finish 7-11 in the conference. Would they still get into the dance with that conference record? They could also go 4-0 over their last 4 games so who knows what is going to happen.

It looks as if Penn State may be a tougher win for Minny than originally thought. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

It's amazing. Turn one of the losses to Wisconsin or Michigan State in to a win (and maybe add in a road win at either Minnesota or Purdue), and we'd be talking about what seed Iowa would be getting in the tournament, not whether they'd be getting in. The margin is very thin for a program trying to rebuild.
