WOW.... never thought Spank would give up on the Hawkeyes so easy.

So now they need to win out in the regular season and still need to win 2 more games in the Big Ten Tourney. OK... why not?

No doubt the Hawkeyes deserve not to get into the NCAA Tourney after the loss to NEBBY. The fact is that the season is not over and there are 5 or more games for Iowa to prove they are a tournament team.

Guess what???? everyone, the season did not end last Saturday.

God forbid Fran and his coaches, the players, had an attitude and mind set like you. The season would be over and they would head off to spring break. Spank, Jon, 80 percent of you posters and lurkers should be ashamed of your selves for giving up.

The season didn't end with that loss, plenty of more chances for wins... go away if you can't comprehend.

Fans don't play. The players will come out and try to win- I have no question about that. But I wouldn't go through the trouble of aggregating bubble teams either.

It's not like we aren't still cheering for Iowa, just being reasonable, without the upset of Indiana, there's no reason to talk NCAA.

You are going to have a heart attack by age 50 with as serious as you are.

But, we will win at Indiana. Book It!.

and then we will lose at home to Illinois and get the final kick in the you know what.

Seems someone gave up last Saturday and it wasn't the fans...Those guys blew a 19 point lead against a team that was terrible to start with and had absolutely nothing to play for. We all hoped Iowa could find a way into the NCAA tourney. It is time to face the truth.. This is not an NCAA caliber team.

I don't think anyone is "giving up".
Just stating what this team needs to do to get into the NCAA Tournament.
The chances are so small, right now, that it doesn't warrant much discussion.

But, like said in the OP, if Iowa beats PU and then somehow beats Indiana on the road, I'll gladly spin up the Bubble Watch machine. However, right now it doesn't make any sense to do that. It's not about giving up, it's about facing the facts and stats in front of us. Right now, Iowa is a mid-NIT seed - they'd need to pass at least 15 teams ahead of them to get in. They only have (at most) 19 days to do it.
