BTN+

The weird part was that all through halftime it worked fine and most timeouts were fine. Whenever it went to live game, it froze ever 30-60 seconds. Frustrating as hell as I turned down an afternoon of golf (probably the last one possible in N. Iowa) just to watch this game.

Just watch. The game that precedes Thursday's Seton Hall game will probably go quadruple OT.:p

Not to mention a player will have to get carted off the court after a half hour delay.

same here. it was horrible. i stopped watching the 2nd half. i decided i'd watch the replay thinking it would be better. well, as we all know, it wasn't. but i approximated about 25% of game minutes were missing from the replay. What a flipping rip off.

I chose not to buy it and now I am glad. It ticked me off when I saw what was on BTN during those timeslots. It's all about exploiting more money from fans. I miss the old days of KDSM with Larry and Mac.

Has anybody received a refund? If so, did they cut off your access to the remaining BTN+ games?
Yeah. I got an email today saying they are refunding me and cancelling the service. But wait! Good news! My account remains open so I can subscribe again at a later date if I wish! Seriously?

Thanks. Hopefully they get their **** together for the last 2 games (doubtful).

Last games feed worked well for me, this one not so much. I'm not going to cry and whine about it and ask for my $10 whole dollars back. When I'm paying $2.50 per game in essence, I don't expect ESPN quality. That is like ordering a $10 steak, eating it, and then complaining that it was crappy and wanting your $10 back......

I think it's more like ordering that $10 steak and they bring you a plate of SPAM...and you really want to eat it anyway, but they keep taking it off your table for 5-10 minutes at a time. Finally, you give up and settle for listening to someone describe a steak to you.

Actually it is like ordering (4) $2.50 steaks. The first one was pretty good, the second one sucked balls, and the jury it out on the remaining two.

Either way biotching about $2.50 is just something I can't wrap my head around I guess.

I don't think it's about the money. It's getting charged for a service they can't provide.

For me, I don't care how much or how little something costs...if you offer a product or service for whatever price and tell me it will work, and you are a purportedly reputable business (not the guy on the corner selling $10 HDTVs...though those would probably work better), I expect it to work as promised.

Besides, I have a kid at Iowa, one at Drake and one at IC Regina...I need every $2.50 I can get my hands on.

Who/what did you e-mail? I sent something to their support and have not heard back.

I completely disagree. Price matters. If I'm dropping $25 per game, then yeah I'm upset. What you are getting is Womens BB, Mens BB, Volleyball all the games for $9.99 a month. The B1G/Iowa isn't making a mint charging that, especially considering the majority of people are paying for one lousy month a year.

When you get the "steak special" at a dive bar for $7.99 and that includes a salad and potatoes do you expect the same quality as getting a steak from a high $$ steakhouse for $80? Of course you don't, I guess I just view paying $2.50 for a game in the same manner.

Listen I'm not saying it doesn't suck, because it did, and I was pissed off. What I'm not going to do is ask for my $2.50 back for one bad feed. I've had it the last 2 or 3 years I think and every other game has been fine.

The problem with your comparison is we aren't used to steaks being free. A more appropriate comparison would be deciding to buy water and getting a bottle of cat piss instead. Or out of nowhere they charge you for air but it smells like dog shit. Or ickehawk decides to start charging for his wisdom and it turns out he's clueless.

That is like saying since a gallon of milk used to be $.25 and a gallon of gas used to be $.50 that it should always be that way. Guess what, things change. People used to get OTA antenna signal and 3 stations. Then they moved to cable and they paid for what used to be free, same with satellites, they pay for networks on them as well, so no the games haven't been "free" for most people for a long time now.

Plus never before were games available outside of the state. Now alumni in North Carolina, California, all over the country can all experience the games. Give me the current system 100 time out of 100. The Iowa athletic department is thriving, enough money to do all sorts of improvements and upgrades.......yet people want to complain about $2.50.....what a joke.

I've been paying for these pre-season snoozers since the BTN became a thing or ESPN 3 (which i pay for with my cable subscription). Mostly because I've lived out of state for most of it - so, it's not really out of no where. I am with you in the fact that - it's crazy that it's harder to see an Iowa Men's basketball game in 2016 than it was in 1990 but it's as easy as, if you aren't happy with the product, get a refund or don't pay for it. The streaming world isn't perfected yet, far from it - I wish it was, it's not and I know that going into the purchase. I was furious Sunday - i planned my entire around it, but in the end there's not a lot I can do about it besides cancel my subscription which I am not doing because I am hopeful the next game is better.
