Brust a loose canon

Obviously he plays more than little to no defense, or else he wouldn't see minutes in Bo's system. That long one in front of Bo was money, and no one was mad about it.

i watched the last part of the game the one i saw was so far out that Bo took him out and it was right in front of Bo and he was not happy. like i said Brust is a loose cannon and plays little to no defense all he does is look to shoot, no matter how far out he is

Again Herby doesn't know what he is talking about. The one he took right in front of Bo hit nothing but the bottom of the net. Brust's lone three-point miss was from the top of the key.

I'm still trying to figure out what type of medications Herby's on.

herby there is an easy way to take care of a shooter who is shooting you out of the game. bo could have put him on the bench. if bo didnt do that then i expect that bo didnt see anything wrong with the shots he was putting up. brust isnt a loose cannon and the lead they had isnt something that takes a lot to lose. again he missed 1 3pt shot so unless you are saying that 1 3pt shot was bad you are way off because one shot is not shooting anyone out of a game. his other misses were 2pt shots. maybe you need to think before you write. and maybe you think they were bad shot (your opinion, not mine) but bo let him keep playing and i believe bo to be a better evaluator of basketball shot selection than most no matter what anyone thinks of him because he is a big time coach that wins consistently.

Ben Brust is a damn good player..period. I also think he is probably better suited for Wisky than he is Iowa. I would rather have Josh Oglesby.

Herby/Dragonhawk, time to take a break from the boards. See you in a week.

Thanks.

lol amazing foval

I think his only miss was on a loose ball that he grabbed and threw at the rim to avoid a shot-clock violation, somehow hitting the rim, which then bounced right to a wisky player who laid it in for a huge basket at that time. It was a great play by Brust.

I agree with the comment that Brust is a very good player, for Bo Ryan. I am happy with Josh Oglesby, but that does not mean Brust is not good...shooting .377 from the arc as a high volume shooter is very good. He had a very good game yesterday, and might have been the difference between winning and going home for Wis.

My gripe is with the principle of the rule-breaking by that weasel poacher Ryan, not with Brust. Ryan sought to destroy the gentlemens agreement between Big Ten schools that is part of what keeps them above the scum in the SEC...ie. no rules, anything goes,no conference solidarity. Ryan belongs in the SEC.

Not to mention the shot he missed was right after he just drained a long-range three.

the kid can shoot and is great for their system...ogelsby is great for fran's system being more athletic. it will be good to see how much jo gets better for next yr because brust did almost nothing his 1st yr (less than jo did) and he has developed nicely for the badgers.

That miss was actually a two, but great court awareness to chuck up the shot before expiration of the shot-clock. Wisconsin got the rebound for an easy put back.

Brust's lone three-point miss was about a minute or two after draining the one in front of Ryan. The miss was from the top of the key.
