Some kind of penalty. I am no golf expert, but I am pretty sure a 1 or 2 stroke penalty.

1 stroke and you must play the ball as it lies..

Huh. I guess my memory is shot, because I don't remember this number of almost un-survivable bunkers at other BO courses (like St. Andrew's).
