Brian Kelly "I'd rather play Coe College"

I didn't realize how familiar Kelly was with Cedar Rapids. He did Coe College a HUGE favor by mentioning them, it's probably the most press they've ever gotten on a national stage.

Marv Levy coaching in 4 straight SBs was Coe's time in the sun.

Health permitting, Levy still comes back for homecoming games. As mentioned above, he brought in Bender, who stuck around the organization for a couple of years. His biggest find at Coe by far though was Fred Jackson, who had a very good NFL career.

Coe also gets a lot of love and attention by my former classmate, Curt Menefee, who still regularly mentions the college during the Fox NFL broadcasts. Whenever he had a "game break" featuring Jackson, he always added that he was from Coe. It even became a fun joke amongst the announcers, knowing that he was going to bring it up.
