wow. you are the first person i've heard utter 'culver' and 'lesser of two evils' together in the same sentence.
name one thing culver has done that has been productive for the state of iowa?
i'm not a branstad fan by a long shot, but culver is horrid.

To look on the bright side, finally a topic democrats and republicans should agree on. Both suck.
I think we need to take a page from Montgomery Brewster and vote none of the above...

Jonathan ******** (Nar - Cisse). (He should get VDP to run as his Lt.) Either that or just not vote for governor. Not sure what I am going to do, but I won't vote for Culver or Branstad unless there is a huge, public conversion and inexplicable increase in IQ to go along with it.

No doubt. This whole thread has thoroughly confused me. I thought you meant Brandstad v. Culver.......on the football field. I'd take Culver in pads any day.
Oh yeah, with Culver's size, he would pummel Brandstad.

culver is a turd
too young to have an opinion of Branstad while in office, I think this is a good basis ... on one hand I have my Union-man Democrat Dad, who calls him Terry "Braindead"; on the other hand is my politically connected Republican Uncle, who also calls him Terry "Braindead"

Free 4-year-old preschool in the state. That is a lasting legacy in our state's education. Research has proven kindergarteners w/preschool have far greater literacy/language/cognitive developemental skill than those who didn't have it. Financially it is a steal too. The cost of 4-year-old preschool per child is far cheaper than the per child cost of K-12 education, and extremely cheaper than the per child cost of special ed services or any remedationing.
Free to the people who don't want to work for a living maybe.

This is simply not true. Many of the people receiving free pre-school are employed but simply do not make enough to pay for preschool. Getting these kids a better education is the first step towards ending the cycle of welfare.
Either that or we simply neuter everyone without a college education so they cannot have children. not a good option.
