Brandon Hutton Commits to Iowa

6'6 small forward Brandon Hutton from Chicago, will join Iowa in 2015-2016. He was in attendance in last nights game.

You can see why they beat Bo: "Iowa obviously plays fast, and that's the only way a player like Brandon knows how to play. And Iowa really beat some heavy hitters in this recruitment, as Wisconsin was heavily involved, as well as West Virginia and Indiana."

That is a great write-up on the kid. Makes me even more excited about the possibility of bringing in some of those other players he was talking about as well.

From that description, it sounds like Fran is bringing in a good player. It was nice to read the portion about the kid being a great defender. Always nice to read information from someone (at least it appears) who actually knows the kids and are closer to them than just the summary you read from the recruiting pundits.

Francis has been working Chicago hard and honestly Chicago is a tough nut to crack when it comes to recruiting basketball players. If Hutton opens up the Chicago floodgates for Iowa we will be in for a treat as reading that coaches post it appears Iowa is in the mix for several Chicago players.

What an emotional lift after a rough couple of weeks in hearing Hutton and Dickerson are going to be Hawks. My hope is restored again in Hawkeye basketball. Welcome Trey and Brandon!
