Nelson did play. I would say he was ineffective, but that's being kind to the word ineffective.
 
Pretty sparse crowd for Texas bowl. Their were local specials for tickets for next to nothing. Where Reliant is situated and what you have to do to get in doesnt lend itself very well to picking up tickets outside, unfortunately. If it wasnt my anniversary I would have gone down there.

Wish I could have gone to Tampa but i have to be at work Thursday AM no matter what, unfortunately.
 
I kinda wish they'd keep the San Francisco Bowl at AT&T Park. Football games in ballparks have some charm to them.

(Games in Tropicana Field do not count)

Minny had some 8 win years even in late 1950s and 60s but they couldnt go to the rose bowl or another bowl so no chance of getting the 9th win.
 
I was really surprised at how bad minny's pass blocking was, a good run blocking line even though they didnt run all that well in the bowl game. Syracuse's defense looked much faster than the plodding gophers.
 
Okay it's the next day, but number 14 for Rutgers is an ND first down waiting to happen. Reminds me of a certain Ex-Hawk DB that got props for a large number of tackles. Only problem is they were on his man 12 yards past the line of scrimmage.
 
watching the wild wings game right now and if SCUM d doesnt get any better, they will get pounded. Giving up yardage in big chunks.
