Torn Biceps tendon, right now just a Schefter tweet via the four letter but Im sure itll be up soon.

Bob Sanders played the sport at a 100 mph. This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone that his body continues to breakdown.

I don't think his career is over but I do think his time with the colts is done, as is his prime earning potential. That said, the hitman will be back.

Exactly. You can have the best car in the world, but if you run it at max RPM eventually it will break down.

Sucks.

Unfortunately I think this ends his career. Too bad, I love watching that guy, hopefully he proves me wrong.

Very dissapointed. Couple things to remember here, though. The reports are not official. Last time ESPN announced a season ending injury for a marquee Colts player during the season, was two years ago w/Dwight Freeney, and he was playing the next week. All reports I've seen say it is a "partially" torn tendon, which creates a whole lot of variable here.

No doubt, the vultures are circling Bob once again... but this is going to be a very complex story. I have a feeling it is a going to be a roller coaster ride w/Bob. Too bad, he was looking fantastic all pre season.

I guess what I am getting at, is I feel this is far from over for The Hitman.

The fact is Bob is just too damned small for as big as he plays. He has been in the league 6+ years and he has missed half of those games to injury. He has played one full seaon out of those, and has only played in half of the games twice. That is not a series of unfortunate coincidences...the guy's body just can't handle the size and strength of the NFL players he keeps trucking.

I did the math, I figured that Ray Lewis can deliver 20% more force than Bob Sanders while accelrating at the same rate. Since it is within reason to assume that Bob Sanders is capable of delivering as much force as Ray Lewis, Sanders has to slam into his opposition much, much faster than Lewis would.

I think that is why he can never stay healthy. There is only so much the human body is capable of. If he were 230lbs instead of 200 soaking wet, I don't think he has this problem.

There was a lot of chatter on the ESPN blog by Colts fans stating all the serious injuries could be caused from the usage of steroids. I know the guy plays above his size, but it does make sense.
