Bo Ryan Interrupting Turgeons Press Conference

I get that Bo Ryan has had a tremendous amount of success at Wisconsin. Success is one thing, but it's very hard for me to understand why any young man would want to play for this jerk off. I don't say this about many people, but I would love to see Bo get punched right in the nose. He's such an *******. What is it with coaches who are named Bo?

Notice how Turgeon just disappears as Bo awkwardly tries to pretend like he's sorry for what he just did? Props to Turgeon for not even reacting. The ******* doesn't deserve a reaction.

Low class... I think they were trying to beat a storm (they didn't BTW and had to land in Pittsburgh last night) but the world doesn't revolve around you. It just reeks of disrespect.

What else was Turgeon to do? Bo was probably outside smoking a cig while Maryland authorities were lookin for him....what a low piece of crap, and his team emanates that very same type of behavior...

I actually read that they had to make an emergency landing due to an engine malfunction and that's why they had to spend the night in Pittsburgh. Doesn't really matter though. I agree he's incredibly disrespectful.

What really ticks me off is that Fran gets lumped into a category of coaching "jerks" because he gets fired up during a game. However, off the court Fran is a generally a very nice guy. Bo is just an all around jerk. Then it seems like on the court officials won't hesitate one second to T Fran up for getting excited, but Bo can get away with damn near anything and all the refs do is swallow their whistles. He acted like a maniac several times last night and in my opinion he absolutely should have been given a T. Too bad none of those refs had a pair.

Wisconsin fans love Bo. Pretty much everyone else dislikes him.

I acknowledge that he's a very good coach and I am amazed at what he has done in the Big 10...top 4 every year. He can lose his 3 best players and turn around and finish in the top 4.

But I can't stand the guy. He turned 67 in December...hoping he calls it quits soon. He most definitely is a jerk.

Dick move, and I hate Bo, but Wisconsin got jobbed by the refs all night. Mugged almost every time they had the ball. I imagine Bo was more than a little pizzed.

Wisconsin wasn't getting away with their "bump the driver" defense either. I saw quite a few fouls against Wisconsin that never get called on them at home. And I watched that game and didn't feel that "Wisconsin got jobbed by the refs all night". I got the feeling that it was called as any B1G game where the home team got the benefit of a few calls. The big thing I noticed is that Maryland got nearly all of the 50-50 balls.

While I understand the hate against Bo, there's really nothing here. In fact, I'd put the onus on the media. The visiting team's coach is ALWAYS interviewed first after the game as there are travel arrangements to take into consideration. Turgeon never should have stepped up to the mike. It was the media that pressured him there. Turgeon then did the class thing and deferred to Bo, which should have happened all along.

Yeah, I didn't see this. I saw the officials calling a very physical game. Both teams were getting away with a ton of hand checks and bumps. I don't understand why all the talk of calling a tighter game and cleaning all of that up when it's obvious it will never happen, in the B1G at least.

I kind of agree with you, but Bo Ryan could have just stood off to the side and let Turgeon at least make his opening statement and then politely asked him if he minded if he went first since they had a travel schedule. He didn't have to just storm up on stage and more or less shove Turgeon to the side and takeover. I found that part of it completely disrespectful.

Hell if Bo Ryan was that concerned about his schedule he could have just announced that he was skipping the post-game media session once he saw Turgeon at the podium.

All I know is that Bo looks like the Grinch that Stole Christmas. I cant understand how him and izzo can jabber and talk to refs while the clock is running and never, never get a T.

If the other coach getting interviewed first screws up his traval plans, what does he do when the game goes to overtime?

The topper of this whole thing is their plane ended up having engine problems and had to land early in Pittsburgh. They got home late. Karma!!

Working for Barry Alvarez involves two things:

1. Win...just win.
2. If you win, I don't care if you act like an a-hole

I thought Bo was on drugs when I read his lips and I thought he wanted to fight with the turtle coach . I was so confused for awhile.I keep rewinding and rewinding trying to understand Bo. Confusing person to read lips!

Wisconsin plays good defense. Always have and always will under Bo. You can't call touch fouls on Kaminsky on a rebound over 6'6" guy but let Wells absolutely steamroll an obviously set Gosser. That was a horrible no call. I do agree that Maryland got a TON of 2nd chance opportunities. Was almost like a magnet to Maryland players. Was definitely strange to see that happen to Wisconsin as they're always fundamentally sound in blocking out and eliminating 2nd chance opportunities.

Wisconsin should have won the game had they shot even below average from 3. They shot HORRENDOUS from 3 (6 for 22). I guess thats the game plan for beating the Badgers...pray to Tom Cruise they miss their 3's
