As great as some of olesani's blocks were, gotta say the best block o the game goes to the rim. I forget which illannoy player it was that was rejected by it on his wide open dunk attempt. But it was one of the funniest plays I've seen all season.

I REALLY hate to say it, but the block of the game came in the first half when May tried to cross the lane and shoot one. I don't remember who it was, bt the ball ended up at mid court. Outstanding block, even if it was in the wrong direction.

Illinois had a 2-on-1 and should have been an easy basket for them. May makes the ball handler pass then blocks the shot. Yes, getting rejected by the rim was funny, but May's block was no doubt the best.

Maybe the reason Richardson came up short is because he was looking out for Gabe rather than concentrating on the rim.

Not to mention May went from back peddling to standing flat footed to jumping high enough for an easy block. Super impressive. Would've made a great CB.
