What a win by the Blackhawks tonight! Niemi was outstanding in goal yet again, with the Finnish Fortress stopping 44 shots tonight. Big Buff Daddy continues to torture the Sharks, netting the game winner in OT! Hawks now have a commanding 3-0 lead in the series! Let's close this out on Sunday, then bring on the East! ONE GOAL, baby!
 
Here's a thought. The Stanley Cup finals could be set tomorrow night. Will the NHL go ahead and start on Wednesday while there is still momentum, or will they wait until the calendar gets to where they would start if both conference finals went 7 games?

Excellent question. Don't know the answer, but I agree that taking advantage of the momentum would be good, but it seems to be trumped by money and the ratings at times.
 
If they hold to the form they've used this year, game one of the Stanley Cup Finals will be at the UC two days after the conclusion of the Eastern Conference Finals...barring any arena scheduling confilicts.

Let's go Hawks!!!! Bring home the Cup!

So they should start Wednesday night. Thank god the NHL isn't doing things like the NBA.
 
Hmmm...I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend for the Cubs-Cards series. I wonder what the going rate for a kidney is....because that's what it will probably take for me to get into the UC for game 1.:(

Yeah, losing 7 teeth must not be fun. He only missed a couple of shifts. I love how he joked after the game that a couple were already fake, so it wasn't a big deal.

Look at it this way - NBC is putting the NHL on in primetime on Saturday night. Just in time to lose the contract to ESPN next year*

Cheapest I've seen so far is $550...for standing room only.:eek:

I'm gonna be in Chi-town this weekend, but I don't think I'll be able to get this one past the wife.:p
