The fact that there is anywhere close to thousands of tickets available is embarrassing enough for an inaugural title game.
Fox paycheck > any perceived embarrassment

And yet people still think playoff games would all be sell outs if college football had a playoff.

JD, I do believe you were a strong advocate of Indianapolis for the game. I thought (and still believe) it should be played at Soldier in Chicago. Indy is in the middle of the sticks and is fine for basketball bince 12 teams are going and each will bring some fans, cheerleaders, etc. But when you cut it to 2 teams, each with fanbases that hope to be playing in Pasadena in a few weeks, the pitch to go to Indy is harder. Yes, I know, sometimes it is cold in the Midwest in the late fall. Wear a coat and bring mittens.
If this game were in Chicago, it would be sold out. The ability to pitch the old lady on a trip to Chicago is easy from anywhere in B10 country, but Indy is a tough sell.

I wouldn't sit outside in Chicago for 3hrs if u paid me 1k.
+1, but JD doesn't like to be told he made a mistake, or said something wrong......
But, beyond that, this week I have been thinking that I probably won't even watch the game.
