Big Ten West is a Donkey Show

-The anointed juggernaut known as Minnesota pulls a Minnie Mouse today. Boy, that was quick.
-Wisconsin trashed at home by Illinois. Wisconsin trashed the week before.
-Purdue can put up points, but are beatable and already have 2 losses.
-Northwestern sucks.
-Nebraska sucks.
-Iowa can't hit water from the ocean on offense.
-Illinois, who knows...maybe Brett has figured some things out.

Maybe Purdue has the best chance with their schedule to get to Indy? Then again, Illinois schedule also could be setting up well.

All these teams will get trashed again by the East Champion.

Not many days where Iowa, Wis, Minn all lose - at home in conf. play.
Experienced QB's - Mertz, Morgan, Petras just not better.
Wis had to replace 8 defensive starters - talent level not the same.
O'Connell (Pur) not suppose to play, does. Ibraham (MInn) suppose to play, doesn't.
Illinois transfers and 5th/6th yr guys showing their experience.
Iowa caught between old defense & very young offense.

Whoever can keep players healthy enough and timing of bye weeks will be huge.

^^^^This really does sum it up. We are at the point where it is more important to become bowl eligible than it is to win the division.

(Iowa caught between old defense & very young offense) Plus a old stubborn unwilling to change HC and a young OC that's designing plays with his kids magnetic doodle board!

At this point I see 3 more losses (OSU, PU, MN)
One win (NW)
2 tossups (WI, NE)

Win the toss ups and we're 6-6 (4-5 B10)
Lose em and were 4-8 (2-7 B10)

Does that make something happen?

Never want to wish harm on anyone, but maybe Ohio St will be able to do a "mercy killing" so to speak on Petras's behalf. Not kill him of course, but maybe this is the game where Petras takes such a huge hit where Ferentz has no choice but to bring in Padilla in relief.

At least that would lead to some change.

Put MN in the toss up category i think

but the argument stands, even best case scenario of 7-5 should lead to some serious discussion.

but, in keeping with the usual season scenario we will lose one we shouldn’t and 6-6 is the best we can reasonably hope for

next season doesn’t portend well, and even the most diehard support will start to erode

at some point the AD department has to consider the risk of losing Parker

OSU probably doesn't hit him any more than IL did.

Last night we likely saw the fastest sack in history buy someone who was initially blocked.

That hit....literally after he got handed the ball.....was a faster sack than Frank Dux's alleged winning knockout record in the Kumite. Freaking pathetic blocking by our o-line.
