Big Ten Tournament SOLD OUT

For me, a small town guy Chicago is not like a midwestern city. Its the second largest city in the USA. To me that puts it on a whole diiferent scale. Hate to drive up there. Just a personal opinion. but it doesnt have anything to do with race
He said "Indy is more midwestern and less intimidating" and "The arena isn't in a good area". YOu're really struggling to see how i deducted my conclusion?

Chicago is more like New York than Indy is like Chicago. It's more overwhelming than Indy, or at least that's how I took it.

And from what I've heard, the United Center is just in a weird spot, not near any hotels, etc. not a place you picture a major sports arena being.

And Indy sucks. I don't know how anyone could enjoy Indy over Chicago.

I've not been there, but from things said about it, I'm guessing Indy is a better fit for the small town folks. Corydon has 1500 people in it, and I feel in over my head every time I've in Chicago.

Could have been worded better. Been to the tournament in both venues. Advantages to Indy are that you can park your car at your hotel downtown, and not have to use it again the whole time there. Everything is in walking distance with restaurants/bars aplenty all right there.

Of course there is plenty to do in Chicago as well, you just have to be ready to move around.

Ah, the United Center...brings back a very good memory, Grand Funk Railroad, late 90's.....But you're right that place is in the middle of nowhere....

Indy is basically like someone merged Omahall and Neck Moines into one town and added a race track and two pro sports teams. The place is just a homogenized strip mall. Now I understand that Indy is the better choice for the yokels who want to walk to and from the arena to Chili's and their motel without breaking a sweat, but Chicago is the logical choice for this tourney. Now you might have to pay two and a quarter to get to the arena in Chicago, but the last time it was here there were free shuttle buses down Madison as soon as the games ended. But for the agony I felt with the Alford era ending and having to deal with the cows from Wisconsin who thought they could encroach on the row of 10 seats I purchased, I thought it was a pretty enjoyable experience.

Dude, Daley um, well he moved the um, well he moved certain people out from around the United Center and now Madison is actually pretty nice all the way west out to the United Center. It ain't like the late '90's where you felt like Clark Griswold stopping in East St. Louis to get directions.

Actually the more I think about that night it was the Rosemont Horizon I was at, my bad about the UC...ha ha (it really was a good night then)

Just think if you were from Seymour, LOL
