Now that we are down to the final few games I think it's a worthwhile exercise to evaluate the seedings and potential matchups for the B1G tourney.

4. Wisky
5. tOSU
6. Nebby

10. Indiana
11. PSU
12. Illinois

I don't fear any team in the B1G this year, but in all honestly, I want nothing to do with Nebraska at this point in a one-and-done BTT.

Nebby does not scare me, no way Petteway hits those 3 pointers with White or Uthoff guarding him. He made some baskets against MSU that were unbelievable.

I'm impressed with Nebraska's defense. Coach Miles really teaches defense. He had one of the best defensive teams in the nation when he was at Colorado State. They don't have a lot of really big guys, so they are doing it with great footwork, positioning, working around screens, and disguises on changing defenses. They held Iowa to 67 points, Iowa's lowest point total all year (tied with the 67 that got at Michigan).

If the season ended today, Michigan would be the 1 seed as they beat Michigan St.

Petteway has been killing it in every game I've watched. I really hope they're not the 6 seed if we are the 3.

The way things have gone in the B1G this year I would not be surprised to see PSU knock off Nebby in Round 1. I don't fear either of those teams with their short benches and having to play on Thursday while we scout them from the stands.

So what will happen if we win out and it ends in a 3 way tie? Everything will be the same till you get to Wisconsin. I assume 1-1 is better than 0-1 so that eliminates MSU. Did Michigan play OSU twice? If not I assume 1-0 is better than 1-1 (not sure it should be though). So Michigan would be the 1 and we would be the 2? If that is all correct then we would rather tie with MSU than Michigan which means we almost certainly want MSU to win when they play each other.

I don't fear those teams either. I just fear losing in general because I want us to win so bad.

It says highest winning percentage even if number of times played is unequal. Michigan plays tOSU in their last conference game.

B. Multiple team tie:
1. Results of head-to-head competition during the regular-season. a. When comparing records against the tied teams, the team with the higher winning percentage shall prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e., 2-0 is better than 3-1, but 2-0 is not better than 1-0).
b. After the top team among the tied teams is determined, the second team is ranked by its record among the original tied teams, not the head-to-head record vs. the remaining team(s).

This. Petteway would be the heavy favorite for POY if Nebraska had 4 losses or less right now; I'm not sure he wouldn't hit those shots again in the same situation. Nebraska is playing very well right now, and they've quickly become the team you really don't want to see. Honestly, they remind me a bit of Purdue from a couple years ago when they only had Hummel left from their Big Three. Petteway obviously isn't the same style of player as Hummel, but both teams are/were great defensive units with a bunch of solid contributors and one go-to star on offense.

Thanks. It is MSU that plays OSU last game though. Not Michigan.

Nothing changed after last nights two games. Biggest thing for the Hawks is on Saturday taking care of Wisky and going up 1.5 games on them with 5 to play.

2. MSU 10-3
3. Iowa 8-4
4. Wisky 8-5
5. tOSU 8 -6
6. Nebby 6-6
7. Minn 6-8
8. Purdue 5-7
9. jNW 5-9
10. Indiana 4-8
11. PSU 4-9
12. Illinois 4-10

Beating Wisky only puts us up 1.5 with 5 to go. We'd be up 1 in the win column and 2 in the loss column. That equals 1.5 games up.

I must have been looking at games out of first place which is 1.5 but goes to 1 with a win over bucky.

That is just crazy to see Nebraska in the 6th seed. But it would not surprise me to see them move up with their last 5 games being Purdue, @ Illinois, Northwestern, @ Indiana, and Wisconsin. With Petteway playing as well as he is Nebraska will have a chance in all those games.
