Indiana enters the season ranked No. 1, while No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Michigan round out the poll’s top five. Michigan State comes in at No. 14, while Wisconsin is ranked No. 21. If the Hawks could finish 7th in this league, they should merit an NCAA bid. They play 3 of the top 5 teams in the country in the first two weeks...and 5 of the top 21 in the first month.

Nice thing is that they only have to play #4 Ohio State, #5 Michigan, and #14 Michigan State once, the last of those 3 games being on Jan. 22. Only 2 ranked teams in the last 12 games.

I think Michigan may be a little high, but otherwise it sounds about right. The B1G is loaded.

Not sure what difference it makes when we play them. Only playing 3 of those teams just once counters your point of it meriting a NCAA bid, that and our weak non-conference schedule.

I think Michigan is about right, but OSU seems a bit high.

They have the best PG in the leauge in Burke and Hardaway will have a better year than last. Their freshman are going to be a little better than average and Glenn Robinson III will be a contender for POY in BIG.

The BIG is going to be tough, but when isn't it? Iowa has more talent than they have had in some time, it just comes down to coaching and Fran is a great coach. Iowa is in a good position to make the NCAA tournament.

What a freakin' meat grinder... Wish we could get B1G football to this point (of course I know I'm dreaming).

Michigan is going to see a lot of zone this year, they need to prove they have someone who can hit outside shots before I buy them as a top 5 team.

Michigan's Freshmen are going to be much better than our Freshmen. Personally, I would trade two Adam Woodbury's for one Mitch McGary. That cat's going to go Zeller this year.

With the addition of McGary and Robinson they will not rely on the three as they have lately. Michigan is a scary team. They added Nick Stauskas as well...big time shooter...also expect a ton of open shots for Vogrich who can hit wide open shots all day. When all is said and done Michigan might be the best team in the BIG.

Burke and Hardaway are good shooters from the arc,and Robinson III can also shoot it based on the All Star games I saw. Vogrich is a shooting specialist a la Oglesby. McGary is a beast, and Morgan is underrated. I think they are worthy of their ranking.

I'm still seeing 24+ wins. Hell, we had 18 last year and coach has had another year to perfect this group. Not only going to Dance, going to Sweet 16 and possibly final 4. The tough conference just helps us in the dance.
