Delany said today that there has been no change to the timetable for expansion. The Big East is preparing for it, apparently, but I wouldn't expect an announcement on the beginning of official courtship before June.

I agree. I meant that June would be about the time to expect Delany to say "We will now conduct formal communication with fellow institutions about the possibility of expansion" (or something along those lines), if he makes that statement at all.

I don't know, guys. Any Big East team that joins has to wait a minimum of 27 months. I think Mr. Delaney is speeding this deal up for that reason.

I agree. I expect the announcement to be made sooner, rather than later. This change is going to alter college football forever. Everyone is going to have to have time to deal with the fallout, before actually moving.

One thing in particular that is going to happen is that the BTN is going to have to be working out those new contracts in the different new areas. As we all know, that takes some time.

The possibilities of expansion is interesting. Kudos to the Big Ten for keeping their network in the limelight during what should be a dead time.
