That's something I'd heard too. And that makes some sense that Goetz and the Ferentzs would've liked to keep it on the downlow till the end of the yr. But with it leaking out how it may have that just forced Goetz to have to put it out there. She couldn't really deny it nor would she really want to anyway. As far as I'm concerned this is better anyway. Provides clarity for the program and players/recruits. What's best for the Ferentzs shouldn't have mattered. Which is all sitting on that would've been doing is saving BF the embarrassment.
The question I'd love to know is how/who did it leak? Ft Kinnick is notorious for not having stuff get out so it feels like it was done intentionally by whomever it was. I don't think David Eickholt overheard something he wasn't supposed to. He had a source on it maybe 2 that was dead on. Was it from her side or the Ferentzs side that wanted it out? My guess is it was hers but heck if I know
