Big Ten Blog ranks Michigan Stadium #6

of course "teh shoe" will be #1, because it always is, because it's fosu, and because they are the most awesomest ever of all time

Lol.. a lot of Michigan folks unhappy.

And then there are the people saying MSU's stadium is better than both? That stadium is a damn dump..

Glad to see this and I must admit a little surprised. The "Big House" get so much overhype it is amazing. I have had the chance to be there twice. Just a few years ago when we beat them and the year we had the 21-7 lead going into half time after the big Timmy D return and I have never been impressed. I will admit the fans were pretty cool and I had a good time but the overall atmosphere(tailgating included) left a lot to be desired.

I have never been to Camp Randall but some guys I know have been there and have had food thrown on them and spat at so I hope we are ahead of them.

camp randall will place higher than it should, because all the dorky reporters think "jump around" is so freaking kewl
idiots

The big house sucks because if you are halfway up it feels like you are a half a mile away. Only rows 5-30 are good seats. Who cares how many people they can pack in there when your seat is 10 in. wide and the isle is 2 feet wide.

There is also a statistic somewhere about the % of seats in the Big crapHouse that are outside of the 20 yard lines. It's a huge number, like 60% or something. Totally crappy viewing angles; way too many endzone and corner seats.

Camp Randall as a stadium is nothing special. However Madison is one of the best college towns in the country and their student section is way more organized than Iowa's and thus provide a great atmosphere.

I like the Big House after the renovation much better than tOSU. Madison is a cool atmosphere, but I agree the stadium is nothing special.

LOL, it also helps that they do have the best stadium.

The big house is a whole in the ground with a bunch of seats. On my last trip there a Michigan fan in front of us was reading a book and no, I am not kidding.

I believe Kinnick should find a way to add 15,000 more seats somehow. That could put Nile's home up there with the best of the best. Even though in my mind it is already the best place to watch a game!

Just because of 'jump around'....

They could fill in the corners... I still can't believe they did that huge renovation and left the endzone corners open.

If the peeps in charge think that filling them in would create too many seats, making it hard to sell out games... they're wrong. Plus, everyone talks about how loud Kinnick can get, because of it's verticality and stuff. Think about how loud it would be if the corners got closed.

That Gopher site is hilarious. Even in 50 years that sterile concrete dump they call a stadium won't have a fraction of the culture or football lineage of Kinnick. Hosers.
