• Iowa is the early 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite to secure a verbal from Solon (Iowa) High athlete Jacob Coons. The Hawkeyes have already offered the No. 2 recruit in the state per 247Sports.
• Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech Top247 2017 safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell is one of the most-sought after recruits in the Midwest including an offer from Iowa. He says he is traveling up with River Rouge (Mich.) High 2018 defensive back Reggie Pearson Jr. who has an early offer from Akron.
• Crystal Lake (Ill.) Central Top100 2018 offensive lineman Wyatt Blake is a teammate of Iowa 2016 commit Romeo McKnight. This is a return visit for him and the Hawkeyes are in good early position.
• Marshall (Minn.) High 2017 offensive lineman Blaise Andries will arrive holding early offers from Illinois and Northwestern. He is the No. 16 offensive guard in the country per 247Sports.
• Port Washington (Wis.) High 2017 offensive tackle Tyler Beach has an offer from Northern Illinois.
• Ossian (Ind.) Norwell 2017 offensive lineman Curtis Blackwell returns to Iowa City. Toledo has already offered.
• Bellvue (Neb.) West 2017 offensive guard Tyler Ciurej is one of the top prospects in Nebraska.
• Merrill (Wis.) High 2017 offensive tackle Jonathan Gruetzmacher is a prospect Iowa had in camp during the summer.
• Columbia (Mo.) Battle 2017 receiver Jaevon McQuitty has several early offers including Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland and Nebraska. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 3 prospect in Missouri.
• Iowa City (Iowa) West 2017 quarterback Nate Wieland is expected on campus.
 
Can't think of a better environment for the recruits to be in. Night game, 9-0 team, blackout crowd with blackout uniforms...hawks just gotta win the damn game!
 
Saw Pinkel is resigning from Mizzou. Wasn't there a 2016 kid we were after who has Mizzou near the top too? Maybe I'm wrong.

Lots of Offensive Linemen on this list! That WR from Columbia looks intriguing!
 
That fullback recruit must get a carries from inside the 1 yard line. Dude has 55 touchdowns and 3.634 yards in his career.
