I wonder what happens when Boise State slips back to mediocrity. Anybody remember Marshall? They went from being a dominate force in D1-AA to dominating the MAC and since they have been in Conference USA have not done much since. This could turn out worse as trips to Boise ID will not be fun.

People, I told you this months ago. The move for the non-Superconferences is going to be to create their own national system.

This will center on the East, West, North, and South split, with the hope that the national scope can help create a better chance for a decent TV contract. However, not all non-BCS FBS teams will get in the system. Right now, the non Superconferences are jockeying for position.

The school I work at is borderline, good fan support, good performance, bad financials. In other words, our discussion was with CUSA, not B.E.

I guess quality over quantity does not hold true for a BCS bid.

So the Big East is going to announce membership additions of such EASTERN schools like Boise State and San Diego State. This reaks of desperation so bad. I would love to see the expenses for when the UConn girls swim team has to fly all the way out to San Diego for their conference meet. This idea is terrible, just terrible...

Sure they're desperate. What are they supposed to do? Just sit back and watch their conference crumble away, and then all be stuck with no conference?

I'm sure if there were willing schools less than 3000 miles away, this wouldn't be an issue.

Marshall hasn't accomplished anywhere near the level of success that Boise State has.
