Arkansas isn't a big name in the SEC. Just because you are in the SEC doesn't mean you are on a "big stage". The last time Arkansas won a conference title it was in the southwest conference. Arkansas hasn't done anything of consequence in the SEC. You sound like an ISU fan beating their chest because they are in the Big12, even though they suck. Nothing about Arkansas has been better than Iowa over the last 5, 10, 15, or 35 years.

You know how down everyone is on Iowa and the program and Kirk over the last 5 years.....welp Arkansas has a whopping 1 more win over the last 5 years than Iowa.....yet they are on the "big stage"? LOLOLOL

Arkansas will be rated higher and go to a better bowl game at the end of the year. They are progressing whil Iowa is regresing. Your blinders are pretty dark to not see it.

Arkansas was shutting down everyone towards the end of the year last year and they weren't supposed to be good yet. They shut out LSU and Ole Miss in back to back weeks last year. Color me impressed.

That's not because they have a better program. It's because they have a better coach.

The QB play in the SEC is crap. I realize they have a ton of NFL draft picks at every other position, but I would not blow my load on Arkansas shutting people down late in the year.
 
He has Arkansas with a buzz. There is no buzz with Iowa, other than maybe this could be KF last year if we stink.

He still took WI to three Rose Bowls, yes OSU was down, but that's been WI and MSU to some extent over the past five years, they made the leap from middle of the pack, to the top of the conference. Iowa and KF did not take advantage of a really crappy conference.

I consider BB to be a bit of a Fry clone. He absolutely crushes the lower level teams, and doesn't care. He does well against the middle of the pack, and can pick off the top teams once and a while.

Isn't that kind of what we want here at Iowa? Imagine if KF had a winning record against ISU, didn't lose to NW and IN as much as he does? How much more favorably would we look upon his time here?

Instead we are in a dog fight against the Ball States of the world every year.

Arkansas is on a short list of returning QB's this year. I would rather take Arkansas's team with a veteran QB over most of the SEC field. The only better QB returning is Dak Prescott and they lost their whole squad.

Wisconsin to Arkansas is a lateral move. Just like Arkansas to Iowa. Wisconsin and Iowa are pretty much the same conditions and expectations. Arkansas hasn't had a good enough coach to get closer to their ceiling like Wisconsin had right before BB got there. Wisconsin probably won't keep up to the same level as they did under BB with Cryst.

No, dean, we were "Break the Rock" and "The Bullies of the Big 10." We didn't need to deem ourselves as sexy or not and kfootball wasn't saying that in the beginning. But let's also not discount the context of the time periods. Saying that when you're winning is 180 degrees different than when you're a .500 team and you are bringing in predominantly MAC level talent.

This seems like a bad bet for you. We have to both outlive BB, which given how he looks could give out before either of us, or he takes a job at Iowa and you can send me the money via western union or something.
