Bernstine or Sleeper

Both guys were good. Depth at safety is a nice thing to have.

If Bernstine keeps on playing like he does ... then he just might end up winning the starting spot.

I'm a big Sleeper fan, but he did not have a good game on Saturday. He was average in coverage, did not tackle well, and lost leverage in run support more than once...

I don't know about everyone else, but #4 reminded me a little of Bob Sanders yesterday. The speed and wreckless abandon that he came to the ball with was pretty impressive and seriously made me think of Sanders.

He has to show he can read the play action, but it's great to have a guy that is willing to hit like that. Turnovers will follow.

That being said, I understand why the coaches like Sleeper too. That dude can run.

Thought the exact same thing.

I kinda chalk some of that up to the fact that it was his very first time seeing live game action. The bigger question will be whether he learns from his mistakes and improves.

I think maybe sleeper's length may play into as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he listed at 6'3" or 6'4"? But I'm calling on JB. He's a beast against the run!! Nickel on third down with Sleeper at the nickelback maybe? Be a nice problem to have, a athletic 6'3" guy playin centerfield back there on passing downs. Anyway, InNormWeTrust!!!!!!!
