That Isaia Howard listed as entering the portal could be BM's PG in waiting. I remember him playing the Mizzou game saying he could play the 1 or the 2. He's 6'5" so Stirtz like height.

I looked him up and he was the Missouri Class 2 Player of the Year his senior year at Plattsburg HS. Plattsburg is a small town between Maryville and Kansas City. For you trivia fans, Plattsburg is the original hometown of Mavs coach Jason Kidd (I have a lot of useless data running around my brain). His family moved to the Bay Area when he was a young tyke. But maybe there is some good basketball DNA in the water there.

Sounds like there's a chance that DNA could be landing in Iowa City. We can hope.

I saw Manyawu entered the portal as well. I don't have the basketball IQ to say whether he has what it takes to in the B1G, but I enjoyed watching him play at Drake. He's 6-8, 228.

Needs to work on his FT shooting but everything else about him is great. Big time effort guy that's unselfish.

I saw a post tourney mock draft this morning that has Bennet beeing drafted in the second round by the LA Clippers.

I know it's out there that he's coming to Iowa and forgoing the draft but there it is. One might think the writer isn't on top of things.

Also, Payton wasn't in this mock draft. He's in some of them late in the second round.

I think Stirtz is pretty much a consensus second round pick. I'm sure he's hoping to improve to a first round pick.
