Ben Whitford

Flowrestling is reporting that one of last years top recruit's, Ben Whitford, isn't going to end up on Michigan's campus this fall. If I'm not mistaken he's a 41/49er and if I'm not mistaken our lineup might be interested in him?!

If he is not at Michigan it is because he did not make the NCAA Clearinghouse. He and Sean Bormett, Michigan Assistant are tight from Whitford's days in Illinois. He would look good in black and gold.

What syco said...whatever the reason he wasn't accepted at Michigan would likely keep him from being accepted at another B1G institution.

Got an odd thought that he might be accepted to Iowa. I mean we did just get the "top party" school from the Princeton Review! Reality is if he can't get accepted, go to Iowa City Kirkwood community college for a semester then transfer to Iowa at the holidays, redshirt then get four years to compete. Damn must I think of everything to make 149lbs relevant again:):):):):)

I, too, like the way you think Craighawk! Let's just say for the sake of argument that this is a possibility. #1 how much interest would you (anyone) perceive there to be from either side? #2 is it to late to offer and/or accept a scholarship and enroll in a school?

He can't accept a scholarship from another Big Ten school, seeing he would be transferring from another Big Ten school. Big Ten rule.

Even if he was never enrolled nor excepted to the University? Doesn't that make the LOI void? I guess that's making some assumptions on my part...
