Beathard BIG QB Ranking

So did Coach Ferentz. He took a 1 win to a top 10 finish in 3 years. One thing is though is that he is more loyal. He revived nfl offers, and could have taken a team to the super bowl if he had wanted to.

Why would he leave with is contract? He would get fired before the end of his first season in the NFL

I got my numbers from sports reference.com. According to them Michigan did average 20.9ppg ranked 112th out of 128 teams. You could round up to 21, but that is still lousy. They have Iowa with 28.2ppg. 7.3ppg more than Michigan. The point I am making is that Michigan does not have a better offense than Iowa even with JR. They have proven nothing. CJB comes in with a more proven offense than JR. I am not sure where you got 23 and 29.

I simply went to the Yahoo Sports sites for Michigan and Iowa. I took the total points scored in the season and divided by the number of games.

CJ is clearly a better QB than JR. But I'm seriously concerned about Iowa's O-line right now. CJ may be running for his life this season.
I hate to say it, but I agree. If we can somehow give CJ a little bit of time in the pocket this season I really believe he will be the better QB.

GD can always design plays where he moves the pocket. I've seen it done many times.

This is my fear. Yes, I'm concerned about the oline developing quick enough...but I'm more concerned about our playcalling adjusting to allow production until that happens. Moving the pocket, misdirection, counters should be our friend.

For crying out loud, BIG is not an abbreviation for the Big Ten. Its just the word big in capital letters.

There are plenty of ways to abbreviate that work. B10 for example.

You are absolutely right since KF has three Big Ten coach of the year awards and Harbaugh has zero KF is the better coach. Ignore that Harbaugh is regarded as one of the best coaches in all of football and managed to get San Francisco to a Super Bowl while being the first NFL head coach to have reached a conference championship game in each of his first three seasons. By the way Harbaugh did this in the last five years while KF reveived his last Big Ten Coach of the Year award in 2009.

bingo

That's a pretty BIG over reaction there guffus.

I'm guilty of using BIG myself. When I'm on the SEC rant message board I always use BIG and they know what it means all the way down here in SEC country. Lol

It's not just the word BIG. The design of BIG, is to make the IG look like a 10. There is a reason the official BIG logo has a black B and a blue IG, to set the IG apart to look like 10. It's a paradigm logo. That was the goal with the design, pretty ingenuitive if you ask me.

Christian Hackenberg is being talked about as a possible first rounder..Look at his performance last year thanks to a poor offensive line...yikes.

No he isn't and no he wouldn't.

Actually he is well respected in the NFL. How many pros have come out of Iowa? How many of those pros adjust quickly to the pro game because of their college coaching? How many coaches in the NCAA have similar records and yet don't have as many drafted into the NFL? Yeah, he's respected.

And as far as the success he would or wouldn't have, he coaches a very similar game to the pros. (Why else would so many of the Iowa players get drafted into the NFL?) With the right coordinators, who is to say he wouldn't be successful? Conversely, with the wrong coordinators....
