Who will have a better year, Beathard or Rudock?
 
CJ is clearly a better QB than JR. But I'm seriously concerned about Iowa's O-line right now. CJ may be running for his life this season.
 
Michigan's offense is terrible. Even a good qb like JR wont be able to turn it around. CJB has a good team.around him and a 3 time big 10 coach of the year. I will go with CJB.
 
If you think KF is a better coach than Harbaugh you are dumber than most on here say you are. Ferentz hasn't even been the best offensive line coach in the Big Ten the last 10 years. Wisconsin has had the best offensive lines and I am guessing produced just as many pros if not more. Iowa's running game can't begin to compare to what Wisconsin has been doing lately.
 
Who has won national coach of the year and who has not? Who has 3 Big 10 coach of the year awards and who has 0? Who is the only living person to have won 3 Big 10 coaches of the year? Who is the one that does not know how to deal with crowd noise. If that Michigan guy comes to Kinnick again just makes some noise, the crowd noise rule is no longer there for him. He won't know what to do. Iowa averaged 28 points per game to Michigan's 20. Iowa also beat Michigan in the last head to head match up. Also Iowa has 11 offensive lineman in the NFL to the bad-gers 8. So Iowa wins again!

Just curious... what did he make up? Kirk does have 3 B1G coach of the year awards. Harbaugh has 0. Harbaugh, when he was Michigan's QB, did simply step back and appeal to the refs when Kinnick was so loud that his signals could not be heard. (He got the refs to get the crowd to quiet down under threat of a penalty) His numbers aren't correct for last year, though. Iowa averaged 29 points a game and Michigan averaged 23. And Iowa did beat Michigan the last time they played which was in 2013.

I got my numbers from sports reference.com. According to them Michigan did average 20.9ppg ranked 112th out of 128 teams. You could round up to 21, but that is still lousy. They have Iowa with 28.2ppg. 7.3ppg more than Michigan. The point I am making is that Michigan does not have a better offense than Iowa even with JR. They have proven nothing. CJB comes in with a more proven offense than JR. I am not sure where you got 23 and 29.

Michigan has talent everywhere. There is a reason everyone is jumping on the bangwagon now that they have a good coach. You are definitely living in the past with the coach of the year talk. Lickliter was also a coach of the year. How is he doing? College football is what have you done for me lately and living in the moment. Not something 10 years ago.
 
You are absolutely right since KF has three Big Ten coach of the year awards and Harbaugh has zero KF is the better coach. Ignore that Harbaugh is regarded as one of the best coaches in all of football and managed to get San Francisco to a Super Bowl while being the first NFL head coach to have reached a conference championship game in each of his first three seasons. By the way Harbaugh did this in the last five years while KF reveived his last Big Ten Coach of the Year award in 2009.
 
San Francisco is thousands of miles away from Michigan. However SF did only average 19 .1 ppg last season. Michigan still has a bad offense. Iowa outscored both his past and present team. I am still going with CJB on this one.

Yout forgot the part where harbaugh was fired from the 49ers because everyone hated him
 
Being liked shouldn't be a coaches number one priority and that he was fired in San Francisco doesn't diminish what he accomplished. Do you think there was a reason why there was so much interest in him from other teams when he hit the open market? And again outside of the state of Iowa, Harbaugh is regarded as one of the best coaches in all of football.

Who hasn't coached a season yet in the BIG, let alone a game?! Just say'in.
 
Wait, so a guy who has never coached a game in the big ten has not been voted Big 10 coach of the year? Say it ain't so! lol Excellent argument!

Harbaugh coached in the Pac 12, not the Big 10, and was regarded as the top coach in his conference. He inherited a 1-11 Stanford team and in 3 years had them finish ranked #4 in the final AP poll despite their stringent academic requirements. Rather than squeeze every dime out of his AD and get a lifetime contract following his success like Ferentz, he moved on to the NFL, where he brought his team to the title game 3 years in a row, making him one of the top coaches in the NFL.

But you are right, he has zero big 10 coach of the year awards. Ron Zook (coach of the year in 2007) and Brady Hoke (coach of the year in 2011) clearly are superior coaches to Harbaugh. smh
