Basketball Season Predictions

Babb won't be nearly as bad as he was last year. The guy is a career 37% shooter from 3 until last year. McGee and Clyburn both shot 40% from 3. Plenty of shooters on the team even if Babb doesn't improve.

Gibson, Ejim, and Niang can score inside. Granted, most of Ejim's scoring will come in transtion but Fred said we'll run more this year so that will provide more opportunities for him. Hoiberg believes Clyburn is an excellent player, NBA caliber.

I'm honestly not overly concerned about the offense to tell you the truth.
 


Anything less than 20 wins will be a huge disappointment given the number of years Fran has had and the talent he's brought in. I'd be amazed if we have any losses going into conference play. Then giddy up!! Franny rocks!

A huge disappointment? 20 wins would be a good season for this team. 17 wins would be a disappointment.

With Iowas depth and they way Fran loves to attack the basket, I don't think Iowa state has the inside depth to stay with Iowa. I think Iowa states bigs will get into foul trouble.

Flat tire? I'm not quite understanding your seeming glee with resurrecting this thread. It looks like some others, especially Ghost, pretty much had this season nailed better than some.

There's no glee and there's no disappointment, the end of the season is usually a decent time to reflect on pre-season predictions.
