HILL TO BE DISCIPLINED FOLLOWING ARREST
IOWA CITY, IOWA - - University of Iowa student-athlete Barkley Hill was charged with an alcohol related offense near his hometown over the weekend.
Hill is a native of Denver, Iowa who attended Cedar Falls High School. He redshirted during the 2012 season.
“I was disappointed to hear of the charges against Barkley,” said Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz. “Barkley will face a minimum one game suspension, as well as other consequences within the program.”
“Obviously, I was extremely disappointed to learn about this,” said Gary Barta, director of athletics. “Barkley will go through the UI Student Athlete Code of Conduct process, and will be subject to any other University and/or team rule sanctions as we gather additional information.”
