Bama just landed #1 OT....any chance Pierschbacher comes back?

Last line of the article :

"The Crimson Tide now have 20 commitments for 2014, including 14 in the ESPN 300."

But yeah, talent has nothing to do with success on the field and stars mean nothing.

I'm guessing that if he was afraid of competition that he wouldn't have picked 'Bama in the first place.

No offense but if you were going to choose between the #1 rated team in the country or Iowa who just lost to a MAC team, which would you choose?

The thing Alabama has going against it is the fact that it's in Alabama. Not the good part of Alabama (gulf coast), but the Alabama part of Alabama.

Have you ever been to Alabama? That place should (at minimum) require you to have a passport and take a psychological evaluation before you are allowed to go. It's a like a different country.

He probably thinks like the other 5 OL recruits think - I wonder which of these other guys coming into the program will be leaving since I'll be one of the starters.

My God, I hope so. We really need this guy and he would be a game changer for the program. Landing him will mean the difference between 4-8 and 11-1 or 10-2. I really hope he listens to his heart and comes to his senses. We will always like him no matter what because he, like us, is an Iowan. Come on back, Ross. Ross, if you're reading this, here is my favorite Roxette song that I think you will enjoy:

No one faulted you for leaving and we will welcome you back with open arms.

In my best Dori voice; "Just keep trolling.... just keep trolling..."

Stars are so overrated. Give me Doyle and 22 Bob Sanders(es) and I'll win the Insight Bowl every time.

NO. Probably licking his chops over the competition, the team's schedule, his potential national exposure, and the possibility of him playing in a college national championship game.

The high school athletes with high stars means nothing comment is utter BS <unless you're referring only to KF>. IMO, a 'high-starred' high school athlete has less chance of succeeding in KF's system because, in KF's system, the emphasis is on team's abilities and not player's abilities. And is yet another reason why KF can't recruit the high-starred high school recruit in 'game-changer' positions, 'cause, in KF's system, the recruit isn't allowed to change the game.

I was being sarcastic with that last line.

Iowa must have a successful season to have a chance. I think there's a slight chance, but it all depends on if Iowa can resemble what they used to be.
