Balance of This Team !!

The fact remains that Jok is a Hawkeye...He's been accepted by his teammates, and is contributing in his own way. High School stats and PTL stats don't interest me at all. The OP stated "Balance of this Team", and right now we have it. What I expect Jok (or anyone else to do) is pull up and take a shot, drive when he has the chance, play good defense all the time regardless of who he's with. What a better position for a true freshman to be in....

I don't think anyone would dispute any of that.

You never cease to amaze me, Atomic, my friend......

If you're looking at PTL and exhibition saying "OMG this guy averaged 30ppg" and expect that to translate to the season I'd say you are correct. But... especially with guard play when someone is more often than not the leading Hawk scorer in both I think that says something.

Pete will likely not set the world on fire this year, but I'd predict that he will significantly contribute and on a few occasions "go off" offensively. The guy was the sole focus of other teams in HS so hitting a shot with someone in his face is not a new concept to him. Disclaimer: I also think you'll see a few games where he is "off" and doesn't contribute much, but I think the positive will far outweigh the negative.

He actually seems to get most of his threes off uncontested. He merely steps back and launches a three that usually goes in. He is one smooth player......

Sorry, one game does not equate to what Jok has done all summer. There is a difference.

I see people every year poopoo PTL performance. However, I then see the guys that did the best in PTL are also the guys that do the best in the season.

I have been saying this for three years and it has held true.

How can you fairly evaluate PTL performances if they only had, in most cases, 1 other Iowa teammate on the same team with them?

Im fairly surprised that none of the players got pizzed off about this and quit the PTL or just transferred.

Isnt that why Anthony Hubbard didnt feel welcome?
