I would just like to see a fairly officiated game. Two of our past three opponents have only been called for ONE penalty. Once would be bad but twice is just ridiculous. One penalty for a measly five yards for both NDSU and Northwestern. The Northwestern game was honestly the worst officiating I've seen in an Iowa game since the Outback Bowl against Florida.

This is dumb. Now blame the officiating for poor play?

Listen to the recent podcast. The first 5 minutes explains the absolute frustrations with this program under KF in regards to the offense.

Teams know what we're going to do. Last year we ran the ball better, and gave us more favorable 3rd downs. This year, not as much.

Basically if Iowa is in 3rd down:

3 WR, CJ under center huge % it'll be a pass
3 WR, CJ in Shotgun, 100% a pass

21 Formation on 3rd and short, 98% chance the run will be outside the tackles (stretch), No Passes

Heard that Doctherman asked some questions on that and it did not go over well with KF or CJ.

Sad that a report, and most of the word with vision, can know how to stop the Iowa offense. My question is, what are the coaches thinking??? It is borderline bizarre...

I must have missed the part where I blamed the officiating for Iowa's poor play. You can play poorly and still have poorly officiated games. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who thought the Northwestern game was officiated fairly.

I like KF and CJ. That said, if getting asked about it didn't sit well with them, they should do something about it. Our predictable schemes are a big part of the problem.

As it stands now, any drives we get behind the chains for any reason, makes a high probability of a punt. Blitz Iowa on 3rd and anything more than 6 right now and we aren't fairing too well.

Pretty valid questions when a dolt like me has a better than 75% chance of knowing when your gonna pass or run.
