Baer Anomaly

Played with a guy named "Sky" who could jump out of the gymn...not a good rebounder...block him out...done...

One wonders why the basics aren't standard practice in this level of BB

Follow your shot

When the ball is in the air, identify someone to block out, don't look at the ball first

Blocking out is more important than jumping

Pivot the correct way on a pick and roll and you will be open

Don't leave the man with the ball alone

Keep one eye on the ball and the other eye on your man

Help out and drop off your man a bit when the ball is on the other side of the court

Practice free throws religiously

Help your best shooters to get the most shots

Work to get good shots and take them, they don't all go in...its ok if you miss

If you are a bit tired, rest on the offensive end

Don't reach or slap at the ball

To name a few...

Very impressive, and yet, very basic, fundamental that very few coaches teach anymore, at least here in NE Iowa.....
